hey guys i am rebuilding my 1968 383 engine. i have a few questions about the stock 906 heads.
what type of valve seals do i use. if anyone has some pics that would be great.
can i use the exsiting valve springs? the engine is 383 super comando. And i will be running a 69 383 335hp stock cam.
can i use felt type head gaskets? the old head gaskets were steel.
thanks for any info.

Probably not a bad idea to at least use a set of new stock springs unless the ones on there are new. Pretty sure the 335hp stock cam was a pretty mild cam...about .450" lift with nice slow ramps so not very demanding or punishing on springs, but if you're rebuilding the engine from the ground up, new springs would be a good investment.

You can use the fel-pro permatorque gaskets...no need to coat them with spray rtv or retorque them. It will drop your CR by a little compared to stock shim gaskets, but not enough to bother you or make it run like ****.

anyone have a valveseal pic. the reason i am asking is a have a bunch of seals from an other build. and there are 3 different styles of seals. thanks
