383 installed hyd. lifters with solid push rods.

i have had the 383 in my 71 duster redone but ticks funny,i was wondering if anyone knows if i used hyd. lifters with solid pushrods is maybe the prob? or is that ok to use.i did a comp test and that is all fine.

383 oils thru the head into the shaft rockers...solid pushrods will not change anything..

what kind of rockers are you running?

the 383 doesn't use the push rods to oil. sure its not an exhaust leak? the cam broke in properly? maybe the cam is on the way out.. your rocker shafts on properly?

solid stock rockers,i knew it oils from the shaft,but it seems like a few of the rockers are not getting much oil and those are the noisy ones.

is the rocker shaft clogged? are they on correctly?
