Close to getting this 392 buttoned up. Should be nice and healthy.

That's not gonna pass smog!!! LOL. EXCELLENT. Lord I wish I had the money for just such a project. I do hope, however, that unlike Jimmy White, you are a believer in front brakes!!

That's badass. Makes me wanna go out and stick mine together on the stand. LOL

Yeah 67dart273 I'm not stupid lol! I went with 50's Ford truck brakes to stop her. She only weights a little over 2000lbs. So should stop well

That's very cool. I am starting to look at these cars(and trucks). I really want an early hemi but looks like I am going to end up with a SB chevy till I can find one and make the switch. I had a chance at a 31 coupe with a 392 and didn't move on it, will be kicking myself for a long time on that one. Plan is to sell my 65 4 spd dart......keeping my 71 for ever since I promised my son he can drive it to high school one day.

If a 392 is out try for a 426 Max Wedge. They were mean looking too. The cast iron headers would be killer also.

That is an awesome looking 392. And the '31 is right on, great stance and proportions. Should be a handful!!!

Thanks72 Blu. Its taking me almost 3 years to build everything from scratch practically

Anyone else doing a build like this

Not exactly like that, but I have a '37 Dodge truck that will be getting an early hemi. I wanted to run a Chrysler 331 or 354, but I also don't want to cut the fenders to make it fit, and keeping the stock beam axle means the engine can't sit low enough to get under the fenders. So it may get a Dodge 270 (baby hemi) or a DeSoto 291. I have all the engines, just a matter of deciding what will fit.
