Hey guys so I've decided to make some big changes to the 408. Finally gonna ditch my hydraulic flat tappet cam and go with a solid roller. Ive yet to decide on the Lunati 40200734 or a custom grind from bullet. I'm also going to be ditching the PRW aluminum 1.6 roller and upgrading to either their stainless set up or the comp pro Magnums 1622.
I then got to looking at the new trick flow 190cc heads. I currently have "local guy" ported eddy 65cc heads. I've heard really good things about the trick flows but my concern is the 60cc chamber. My compression right now is 11.48:1 with the current set up. (Icon flat tops 5cc, felpro 1008, .005 deck)
Now I know very little about quench and I'm not sure what can be done so that my compression isnt too high for 94 octane pump gas.
Can chambers be opened up a little?
Thicker head gasket?
Or is 12.3:1 compression ok for 94 octane?
Here's my combo:
408 stroker 150-200 shot nitrous
Icon flat tops 5cc
Camshaft (????)
Port match super victor intake
Frank Lupo Dynamic 9" 4300 stall
4:30 gear
28" tall tire
Thanks for any advice..
