I'm building a 408 with Molnar rotating assembly and Icon flat top pistons. I was going back and forth on which piston to run with Trick Flow heads since I am shooting for 11.5:1 CR with a plan to machine the top of the pistons to get me where I want to be. Just curious what route others took.

looks like the TF heads are 60cc
with those pistons and a 039 gasket you would be more like 12.5compression.

Yes, that is correct which is why we are taking some off the top of the pistons to get down to 11.5. It probably would have been easier to just go with a 20cc dish piston.... lol

No, block has not been decked. Thicker gasket is an option but I don’t think that will bring the CR down far enough. I might be good with 12:1 since I plan on running race gas anyways.

Cometic can make what you need. I order a .100 head gasket from them.
