very cool!
I'm doing this to my numbers matching 383 out of my 69 super bee so I'll be using cast heads.

The guy that is building my engine is a whiz when it comes to porting cylinder he's very knowledgeable about the heads and I swear he thinks porting 23 1/2 hours a day

I do know a guy... he said he wasn't gonna port any more cast iron heads after he ported my 587s for my 416 tho.i'll see if i can talk him into one more set.

DAMN I got a good 383 to use if I wanted one! Hmmmm........

we took a factory 383 block from a 68 Roadrunner, bought a steel 440 crank. Machined the block to fit the crank,got an aftermarket rod and piston. Added Edelbrock aluminum heads.

Sorry this should read. Machined the crank to fit the block. lol we cut .125 off the mains and .100 off the counterweights for clearance.
