I have most of the parts together for my 440, except cam, lifters and roller rockers. I have 213 heads with big valves also, but wedge heads just don't flow well, especially factory iron. But the more I read about those great heads on the 3g hemi the more I want one. I miss my 2g Hemi. 440 or Eagle?

a 440 put the 67 915,906 and 516 heads are the good heads to have on a 440 or 383,or alumuinm heads as well there pricey.

Two of the least cohesive posts on the internet. Neat.

amay want to look in to what a 5.7 hemi is gonna cost to get up and running. that may make your decision right there.

Where did you get the info that 440 heads suck? It's wrong.

If you're starting with nothing i'd go Eagle Hemi in a heart beat. Im already BB so my next engine is gonna be another BB because it would cost to much to start over.

I want the same thing! I'm starting with a lot of stuff for the 440, machine work is all done except template porting the heads, but not transmission solution yet.

My 273 is mortally wounded, but I have a good running (but stock) 360 that would slide right in with no money, but that would be a pretty weak deal (still strong enough to grenade the one legger 7 1/4"). It would be a fun burnout machine while it lasted. :)

Or, I could finish building the 440, sell it and the 360 and go for a junkyard Eagle.

The REAL problem for me is I had an all original (except for the cam and headers and 12.5:1 pistons) 1968 Hemi Road Runner, and that friggin' car ruined me for life. Once you drive a high compression Hemi with a nasty cam you are never happy with anything else! But, I had a little more discretionary cash back then...

What would you guys do?
