Per their post, 3,000 for a bare, machined and ready to assemble blockI wonder where the price point will be?

Their words, not mineThere is no such thing as a machined and ready to assemble block that comes from the manufacturer. That has never happened.

That might be what they do considering they offer complete rotating assemblies too. Time will tell I supposedYup. Still doesn’t make it true because it’s not unless it’s machined to a specific combination it isn’t a bolt together deal.

Could also depend on their definition of “ready to assemble “. I’ve seen some kits that are “ready to assemble” that state finishing machine work required.
cast rings and .100 in the hole. Don't think we don't knowRight. How does 440 source know what rings you will use? They don’t.
They also don’t know what deck height you need.
They ALL need machine work.

Magnum 360s work pretty good.340 Blocks would be great also. Something for high boost.
Same.I hope everything goes as planned for 440 source and customers with the new block. Looking for old blocks is getting harder and chances of finding one that has nice sonic check numbers are getting less due to numbers.
Typically easier to improve a product than start from scratch. Should be a heck of an improvement over OEM. Plus the expectations have changed of the castings.
This is a big step for the continued use of big blocks. Excited to see it.
