5.2 magnum crank bolt washer and shim?

Sorry if this sounds stupid but I have a shim that looks like it goes with the washer for the crank bolt. I dont remember where it was when I took it apart but it looks like it just goes next to the washer. I havent been able to find anything about it online. Is this correct?

A picture of this "shim" would go a long way towards being able to answer your question.

That's not a shim, its actually a coated thin peice of metal ment to "seal" any potential oil leaks between the crankshaft and damper. It goes between the big washer and the damper.
