What fasteners are you using? That’s what will determine the torque value. Also, on almost every engine I’ve put boost on, I go back after a few heat cycles and retorque the heads. I’m not sure it does much but it makes me feel better.I believe my cooling issues are taken care of. Pulled the temp down from 180 to 170 in 1 minute last night at only 65% duty cycle. Hood closed, no exhaust wrap, no turbo blanket nothing to help under hood temps. For a 14” deal this sucker moves air. You can feel it blowing out behind the passenger front tire. I have done some digging on head gaskets/torque and I may have caused myself an issue. Apparently magnums torque to 105ft/lbs from the factory and LA’s torque to 85…… well I torqued em to 85 cause that’s all I’ve ever messed with. Could explain it sealing running around but pushing water when under boost. So, I’ll be torquing to 105 and see what happens.

FYI, there was a turbo Dakota rt that made 705rwhp on cometics and “new stock headbolts.”

Yea that’s the plan next time out. I had my last pass tune set at 10lb leave but forgot to load it. I’ll probably start there first pass next outing. I fully intend on pushing things pretty hard. It’s a $200 motor and nobody seems to lean on these things to see what they’re really capable of. I see now reason why they can’t run with an LS if you take the same approach with tuning.
