I'm building a 512 pump gas friendly motor for the dart. Trick flow aluminum heads 78cc , single plane intake etc, etc. Cam looks to spec out at .620 intake and .627 exhaust lift with 1.6 rockers. 292 297 advertise duration 254 260 @.050.

The cam specs call for a motor at 10.5:1 comp ratio. With the parts listed what would be the max static compression ratio I could go and still run 93 pump gas? I'm looking at around 11:1 with the current available pistons on the market

I like the 440Source 512 package with the 7.1 rod and 17cc dish. Will give you 10.8 with the .039 Felpro gasket and zero deck or 11:1 at +.005". With a mild set of 78cc RPMs a similar combo went 600hp/600tq.
Otherwise you can enlarge the chambers a hair to lower it if you're running the short rod combos. Personally I wouldn't want static much higher than 11:1. Unless this is a max horsepower effort the extra .4-.5 static means nothing, and with that stroke it will not be "soft" down low.

Your good to go. I'm running a smaller cam with more compression. 93 octane. Everything is in the tune and THE TIMING of your distributor. A lot of power is in the set up. Or lost.

I forgot to add this is a 400 B block build. So a 7.1 rod is out of the equation.
