A518 is a great addition. I'm running 3.70 rearend gears and it goes down the freeway at 70 mph while the engine sleeps. I used the stock column shifter (bolted right on), the upper portion of the sway bar crossmember had to be modified and a custom crossmember with GM mount, but required no alteration of the floor sheetmetal. Follow the instructions at the links above and it will work great. Be sure to use the lockup trans and make it function, if you plan on driving any distance. I have pics if you need to see them.
