6.5" round 6061 aluminium

I have a 67" long piece of 6.5" round 6061 aluminum. It weighs about 270lbs. I priced it thru a local metal store and it was close to $1000
I will take $400 for it. It will probably have to be picked up locally due to its weight.

why not take it to a scrap yard and make bank on it?

Clean aluminum here is .50 a pound. Guess I need to drive to Ohio to scrap my aluminum.

Likely because his asking price of $400.00 will make him far more bank than the $125.00 -$150.00 they'll give him for scrap.
