No fun intended , But did you put your rotor button back on!!
I have dun this many times

So when you turn your key to the run position "not start position" check
for power to your points, How long has it been since the motor has ran?
It could be dry cylinders if it has not ran for a long time that would be low compression. When did this problem start?
Can you see spark from a spark plug?
Gas fowled plugs, Balist resister, Bad rotor button, or cap.
Make sure you have at least 12.full volts from the battery.
A week coil. I had a 63 /6 that would not start because it sat for a long time so I pulled the plugs and put a couple drops of oil in each cylinder and put the plugs back in after cleaning them!! and she fired right up.
It can be aggravating just take your time and make sure the timing is good.
Get your # 1 plug at the top of the compression stroke and see where your rotor button is pointing. Hope it did not jump time.
Just doing my best to help.

Bad gas or gas fowled plugs.

The rotors and caps are new the car has been sitting since late '91 but everything on the car works(thats was why it was parked),I dont tend on keeping the motor in for long. I want to put a 318 in or 360, But I want try to get it running becouse they couldnt. Thanks for the help

Have you made sure the dist shaft is rotating while you turn it over? They have a plastic drive gear on the bottom of the dist. that was common for them to break.

I figered it out I didnt clean the points out good enough, Oh and it does rotate cause i had help turn it over while i watched
