Hello and thanks in advance for the help.

Im spending oodles of $$ trying to get everything in advance of making the engine swap from a 1964 Dart /6 up to a 318.

Do I or don't I need an engine wiring harness to make the change?

If I do, what wiring harness do I need to get?
And if so, anyone have a direct link to the one I should purchase?

OH, and can I use the alternator out of my slant six and install in on the 318 alternator bracket?

Overwhelmed momentarily by what all is involved but VERY eager to see the results!

Thanks,
Mark

i don't think the wiring cares if it's a slant six or v8.
...but you may want to make some improvements like
electronic ignition and dual field alternator..and this is
easily done after everything is swapped and running.
some of the slant 6 wires are longer than the v8's require
but easy to shorten after installed

This is good to know. At least I can get'r going and make those improvements as I go.
I've others mention the need for the new harness, happy to pass on that for now.

Thanks!

I've torn apart a 65 V8 harness and the major differences I found was the coil and oil pressure wires. Both were actually long enough to reach their counterparts for the slant but in the V8 harness they were inside the harness and doubled back to their V8 coil and oil pressure parts.
