Will I be able to use the column shifter in my 68 Dart GT or will I need to buy a floor shifter?

You can use the stock shifter on the column, but a floor shifter is cooler.

Yeah but then I have to change the column, find a center...etc. I do agree they are better. May build a custom center w/ gauges and holders. Thanks

For a finished and super clean look, I agree. Not everybody doesn't mind the old tree left behind. Alot depends on what your trying to achieve in the finished product.

Custom work. Yummmm, what a pain and of course, when done right, what a sweet victory it is when you get there.

For sure! A bit off topic, but I had a Grand Prix with a shifter on a column. I put in a floor shifter, console, and seat from a 81 Firebird, and It worked PERFECTLY! I was still a kid, so I was quite amazed. It is worth it, VERY cool!
I want to do it for my Duster as well, but consoles for those are a bit harder to find, and $$$ then Firebirds. EEK!
