/6 to V8 mounts

Hi all. Well, I finally have grown bored with my /6 but my budget is rock bottom so switching to a V8 has to be done on a shoe string. Anyway, my question is, a friend has offered up a great running 318(yeah I know 360 is better but 318 is free) but I still need to add s me things to make it work.
My thing is, has anyone out there made their own adapter/mounts that they could share the secret with me? I know Schumacher makes mounts or you need to change the entire K frame but as I said, none of this is in the budget. Thanks for any help.

On the early A's up through 66, the K frame is the same; only the motor mounts are different. I don't think there's a quick and easy way to fabricate mounts - the Schumaker's would probably be easiest unless you can find some originals.

Could probably pick up a set of original 273 mounts for close to 1/2 of the schumacher mounts.
