63 904 trans filter alternative

I'm about to change the oil and filter in my 904 transmission. In 63 the transmission filter was a canister type inline filter mounted on the side of the engine block.
Since it's rare and expensive to find one, I'm looking for an alternative, other than the 64 pan an filter swap.

I just got the lines for a '64 without the filter and just change the fluid more often if you drive it alot, there is a normal pancake filter internal to the transmission as well... or buy the filter...

Just get an external filter kit and plumb it. I like the fact that the filter can be serviced without pulling the pan and cross threading those little bolts!
