The plywood lid to my spare tire has a round hole in it, directly over the spare. I presume that at one time there was a hold down cup, something like this one (the picture lifted from a "for sale" post, with the item long since sold):

If so - I am on the lookout for one, and will post in "wanted" soon enough! But I'm wondering how this all works. Tightening the wingnut will keep the plywood lid tight against the cargo bay. But what keeps the spare from bouncing around in the wheel well? I'm guessing the jack base is set inside the spare, but is there a separate component that tightens the jack base against the spare?

Thanks
Dan

I take it you're talking about a V200 wagon?
Does this help?

It sure does! (Yes, I have a V200 wagon.) I take it this is some sort of nut you hand tighten against the jackstand clamp?

I've got the wingnut for the hold down cup! I'll be looking for everything else :p

It's a pic I finally found after a LOT of internet scrounging...
I've been slowly piecing together the whole kit 'n kaboodle, too.
The jack/jack hook was the hardest- an A body wagon-only piece. Some of the rest I've found digging through "mystery boxes" at swap meets, but it's slow going.
