I'd like to get some feedback on my build intentions for my 64 Dart. Car is originally 225 /6 push button but I plan on going 340/A833/8.75. I need some help on what I will need/do when going to this setup. I apologize if these questions are idiotic or don't make sense:

4 speed hump - Will an early A 4 speed hump allow for an A833 with a 10.5" bellhousing?

Pedal Assembly - Is it possible to use any Abody 4 speed pedal assembly, or is an early A necessary?

Headers - What are the best options without fender panel modifications, TTI/Dougs/Spitfire? (I also would like to do power steering)

Feedback and suggestions would be appreciated.

Ok first off the tunnel will allow the 10.5, I have a 4 speed pedal assembly out of my 65 4 speed car if you are looking for one. Doug's fit nice with no issues. Spend a few extra bucks and get the hydraulic throw out bearing. I had so many issues with that damn Z bar over the years. Be happy to answer any questions you may have. Good luck!

If I were going to build a hot rod, 4 speed, 64 Dart, I would get a pair of comfortable bucket seats and a Hurst Super Shifter. It should set further back, almost between the seats. The big bellhousing will hold whatever clutch you need but the new dual disc units should stand up to any and all abuse you can give it. Aw heck, I'm no expert. Give Brewers a call. They'll help you. Keep us posted with your progress. We like lots of photos too. tmm

I also have a 64 barn find with the 273. Also thinking of the 340 but with automatic. That will be down the road would like to put dual exhaust on but was told I can't because of the way the frame runs though center of car. Also looking for kickdown rods. Thanks for any info
