64 valiant wipers

hey guys,
I’m trying to get my wipers working,I have power at motor ,my issue is the wipers sweep fine but when shut off they stop in the middle of the windshield .i can’t seem to figure where it went wrong,any advice I’ve never encountered this type problem before.

Try removing wiper arms and tun on ,turn off and reset wiper arms to base of windshield.

Yup make sure the motor is in the park position then put the wiper blade arms back on.

That’s the strange part,when put on in the park/stop position the arms want to sweep into the engine bay...

possibly linkage on wrong? Was the drive piece off the motor?

I have a spare wiper motor that would work if you decide to replace the one in your car. Fits 64 -66

I agree with valiant wagon guy that it sounds like the motor's internal park place is messed up. But as others have suggested it is a must to have the correct linkage for the proper sweep.

If replacing the motor or the switch, make sure they match. Single speed, or variable speed.

Is the arm on the motor 180 degrees out?

I could not figure it out,maybe parts were changed at some time ?.So I sent it off to the local speed shop for some other upgrades ,they can fix the wipers too.
