We are working on my brothers 73 Duster. Original was 2 speed motor and switch and we just changed to a 3 speed motor and switch. Also changed the short arm that bolts to the motor along with the long arm that snaps on to the short one. Both arms are supposed to be correct for the 3 speed system. All three speeds work. Problem is when you turn off the switch the wipers park in the up position. I was reading through previous posts about park issues and some people mentioned checking grounds. The motor does park just in the wrong position, could it still be the ground. Thanks for any and all replies and help.

Not sure we will look into that tomorrow. Almost positive it's not electrical and it makes more sense that one or more of the arms is installed 180 degrees off.

I thought about the cover clocking too but 90 degrees is a lot to be off .

That being said... There are switch / motor combinations that use windings in the motor to park it and the switch has to be correct for it.

My initial " is the lever on the motor 180 off" was a easy to try simple thing to try

Just got back from my brother's. We rotated the arm on the motor 180 degrees and now everything works great. Dash is back together and he is cleaning the car for our first cruise night tonight. Thanks to you both for your help.
