65 Barracuda 7" wheels

Hi all,

firstly..... YES I did some SEARCHES. Maybe not good ones....I don't know.

Just wondering if there's any dramas with fitting 14 x 7 rims on my 65 ?
I currently have a set of 14 x 6, but thinking of the same mags, just the extra inch. Not after massive tyres, a nice look that fits the guards all round.

14x7s should be able to fit with the correct back spacing. If you have small bolt pattern they could be difficult to find. I had some 14x7 SBP cragars at one time and they stuck out too far to fit. Tire hit the outer wheel housing.

Measure your current back spacing and how much room you can tuck closer to the springs to get an idea for what it should be.

I have 14 x 7 reverse wheels on the back of Vixen with 245/60 14s. They fit fine.

15x7 SBP Cragars all the way around on my 65 Barracuda. 225/60/15 tires. Don't remember what the backspacing is, but they actually fit better than the 14x6 Cragars I had before.

I have 17x7's on my 66 Valiant. running 73-up disc brakes on the front, 8 3/4 with drums out back.

14x7" 245/60R14 w/ SS Springs fits nicely! 14x5.5 195/70R14 front.

I'm unsure reverse wheels would fit but I know regular offset wheels will.

No pics but I ran 14x7 US slots on my 2nd '65 Valiant with E60/14 tires on the front that fit just fine. Had 14x8s w/ L60/14s on the back. Don't ask how they fit but imagine if you will, air shocks and shock extensions.
