next slant i have built ill have custom ground pistons to make it 12 to 1!!

"custom ground at 224 410!"

if the 224 is @.050, that is not nearly enough to get anywhere close to 300 Hp with a slant. The slant in my 83 D150 is a step down from that, 212 @ .050
, with 8.5 compression, OS valves, mild porting, dual Dutra's it is a 160 HP slant.

The cam I have for my long rod build is 254 @ .050 with .560 lift. With 10.6 compression, OS valves, a premium port and valve job, MPFI, long tube headers, will be in the 265 HP range.

I was planning a 300 HP N/A slant, but to get there it was needing a cam in the 272 @ .050 duration .550 lift range and to make that
work 11.5 + compression was needed. I did not want to go the race gas route so I down sized the cam and compression
and then the HP also went down.
