Greg- your build is inspiring me to consider turboing my 65. On your down pipe, are you routing it out the fenderwell or are you able to thread it down around the tbars and the tranny? Our Early As are very space limited in that area.
Thanks!

Thanks guys! The down pipe goes down between the t. bar and bellhousing, it is a tight fit but is 4 inch, then it y's into to 3" to go out the back, it Is very quiet! The new setup is a 360 block with K1 forged 4" crank and H beam rods with wiesco 9.5 pistons, the heads are fully ported pro comps and edelbrock super victor intake, the turbo is a cx racing gt45r-80mm, I hope to make around 800hp at the tires this go around.

Nice build, the car looks very unassuming, it should be fun when picking on some Camarrows and Rustangs. :D

Test fitting everything.

Hows this going? Any updates? Ive started mocking mine up on my 65. What does youralternator setup look like?

Hey guys, sorry it's been a while, you know how some of this stuff goes when you work and work but can't see much progress. I got the block sonic tested, short filled with hardblock then bored to 4.070, we preassembled the short block and clearanced everything then test fit the main girdle, jus got to take back apart and line hone then do final cleaning and assemble. I'm still kind of unsure of who I want to do my camshaft, I know I want a mech roller and would like to keep around .600 lift the make easy on valve train for street driving, I have also decided to go back with an automatic trans, I have an a999 that we use to race and a turbo action 3200 converter, I hope they will hold up to the power we are shooting for! Will keep you posted! Thanks!

Thanks for the alternator pic Greg. You were able to squeeze everything between the radiator and WP pulley and still make it look clean. I wish this was an off the shelf kit i could buy. Shoe horning rhe turbo and related components into the bay of an early A is tough!

Got a few more parts in and main girdle.
