650 Quickfuel carb? Good to go?

I need a budget carb to sort out my 360 Duster build. Eventually this summer I will go to EFI. I just want to get it sorted first. A good friend has a 650 mechanical secondary electric choke that's got virtually no run time on it. He too went EFI and put it in the shelf this past year. I don't know anything about these QF carbs. I've only experienced Holley. Is it worth throwing on and trying?

I have a QuickFuel 750 race on mine - literally worked right out of the box. Go for it - they are great carbs.

Mine was a used 750 double pumper,choke model.. Has a slight off idle hesitation on off idle response from accelerator pump. Got to work on it, last mechanic couldn't tune a carb, to save his life.
