I'm not too fond of the gauges in my '66 Dart...reminds me of my grandmother's '85 impala. What have some of you guys done for your Dart's gauges?

I've seen people mention a dash swap, what might fit into my '66? Have any of you had a custom gauge panel made up for this dash?

A 66 Barracuda dash (the entire thing) will swap right in with a little wiring work. It can be done with the windshield in, but it's easier with it out...

Good to know...anyone do a custom gauge cluster on a dart dash?

Not so much a custom cluster but I did make this gauge set for my GT.

I have never been a fan of the small panel with two or three gauges hanging under the dash.

I had previously made a custom console to fit the stereo into.

The '66 Barracuda is, I think, the best looking early A dash, very sporty with two large gauges & four smaller ones.

Not so much custom but I did change-up the coloring of the dash. for a bit better look.

in the car without the numbers painted yet, got to find a smaller paintbrush to do it neat.

in the car for a test look. even the white dash lights were brighter in tests.

crappy cell phone pic of lighting in a dark garage. I'll add one more light for speedo illumination since one was burnt out.

I do have a drawing of round gauges in a 66 bezel setup that I like. But it's going to take MAJOR time and work to get it right.

Making a cast plastic bezel to fit the 66's SUCK! But that's what modeling clay or machinist wax if I can just figure out how to do 3d on my homebuilt cnc . Plus LOTS of time since I want to use the stock position of the 3 switches for wiring them.
