Got the 66 dart gt done & its ready to go home. Alot of quarter work on this one. A few dings and dents. Also 2 nos fenders. On to the next one.

That's a nice color. Tell me something though. I remember back in the 70s and 80s the silvers and greys didn't hold up good at all to UV light. Has that changed now?

The color on this dart isnt all that right its close. Its suppose to be more pinkish but the customer is happy with it. I did a spray out first. As for the clear on the 80s cars they were trying water base clear. Thats why you seen cars around that year with the clear coat flaking off. It was mostly the top side of the cars. As for the new water base paint PPG has water base base coat. I dont think they have water base clear coat. Not that i know of any ways. My dad had a 1988 daytona that the clear was coming off & that car was black cherry.
 
I always liked that color. Mauve Poly. It looks close to the chip charts.
