I've got a '67 Barracuda Fastback & have been searching since I bought this car for the rear decklid tail trim lower piece. It's the one just above the rear bumper. Anyone have any leads to a nice used piece for this?

Although there is a very slight difference in upper and lower, they are interchangeable. Only a expert judge would recognize upper used as lower. I don't know if reproductions are both the same or not. I would ask before buying. Hope this helps

I would rather have an original because the car is all old & original. A new one would stick out like a sore thumb.

Maybe if someone is upgrading to new & could buy the old ones.

Used with the typical dings is easy to find. I have a few of those here.

That's what I'm hunting, my top piece is pretty decent with a few small dings & the center panel has a few small ones as well. Just looking for a decent used one, some dings will make it match the others.

I'll get some pics for you a.s.a.p.

It is easy to spot an upper used as a lower when the trunk is closed! The ramp angle is different, and when closed is supposed to match the contour of the taillight!! Once you know that, you'll be looking at every 67 to see which one that car has on the bottom!!! It's a sickness!!! :)

OK , I wont get into which is top or bottom or which I have here. Of the 3 pieces shown below, 2 aren't worth their weight as scrap metal. I could have straightened them if some yahoo hadn't fecked them up with a punch and hammer. Anyway... The 3rd has 3 small dings and I tried to get a closeup of those. It'll need polishing, paint touch up. Doesn't include fasteners. 35 bucks plus shipping and paypal fee if going that route. The box will be 56 inches long so shipping will be increased per their 36 inch standard. Message me if interested

So the generic fasteners are 3/4 or 1 inch. The ones at the ends must be cut to 1/2 inch long and get a closed nut. The rusty OEM is the special 1/2 inch. ( My reminder I keep here )

That's cool, there is a wholesale paint place here in Tulsa that has a large variety of trim clips. I'll stop in there this coming week.

If I have the pal nuts ( no promises ) I'll pack them with. Back when I was renewing this trim on my car, I think I got the closed nuts ( in nylon even ) from Home Depot. Was a long time ago.

Got the trim piece $ excellent job in packing it up! Its in better shape than my top one. It fits perfect & lines up exact with the edges of the tailight trim & the raised area on the decklid.

Much better than a new piece, looks like it was always there.
