Hello. I am in the middle of installing a new AMD firewall and there is not a lot of room to install. So I am wondering if you need to remove at least one of the inner fender wall extensions. Im stuck. Thank you in advance. Jeds67

It’s not exactly tthe same; I replaced my non-AC firewall with an AC firewall in my 65 Dart. I had plenty of working room with no engine or transmission. The new firewall looks like it was botn with it

Factory was (unless the internet disagrees with me) the cabin was welded together then front frame rails hung then the inner fenders and rad support.

I think you can replace a fire wall without it but it will be tight. If you do please post pictures as that would be a cool project in my humble opinion. I’ve seen others do this without removing the inner fenders - but since our inners don’t unbolt like a GM…. It will take some thinking.

Different animal, 62 Dart, but there was no replacing the firewall without something else coming out.
