Well I finally found myself a project about 2 weeks ago after a bit of searching around. Sooo I figured I'd post somthing for once instead of stalking others projects haha. Gonna try and keep this updated as I go :toothy8: Stock slant 6 with 727 tranny, pulled the interior last week except for the dash. The knobs prove to be a pain to get off along with the bezel nuts behind them :-k

Looks like a solid car to start with.
There is a special tool for the switch bezel nuts. There are tips that help too. Just ask
We'll be happy to help any way we can. :)

I've used snap ring pylers in the past for the ring bezels. I don't advise it if you have one that's hard to get off.

Thanks :D Yeah it's a pretty solid other than the shady bodywork job someone did on it, just packed bondo on top of rust holes like an inch thick :violent1:. Tried the snap ring pliers they did the job, thanks for the tip. Finally got some work started on it today, grinding and treating the rust on the floor. Looking much better already.

Oh sweet, thanks for the link I may have to pick one of those up for later. Gonna restore it to street/everyday driver, got a 360 with a 904 tranny I'm gonna drop in it. Planning on doing some custom paint on it if I can. Well I didn't get as much work done this weekend as I had hoped but anythings better than nothing lol. Heres a few pics of what I've gotten done so far.

In the future, you can make a bezel nut tool out of strong old dinner fork! Just bend or cut the center tines off and voila! Neat project, keep us informed..

Alan

Been awhile since I've updated this stuff, so heres what i got so far. Interior is mostly done except for some patch panels and paint. Stripped the front end, did some patching in the engine bay got it fixed up pretty nice. Started painting the frame and primed the engine bay, hoping i can get some paint on it next week sometime.

Finally got started back on the cuda, so heres an update on the progress. Got the body stripped down and sprayed in epoxy primer, replaced all the bushings in the front end and ball joints, patched the floors and trunk, new radiator, gas tank, fuel lines, brake lines. Put the original slant 6 back in temporarily until I can rebuild the 360 to put in it. Finally starting to look like a car again :)
