I know i have seen this one discussed before but i dug around and couldnt find it.
This regards upgrading the 67 cuda front/rear windows with the 68-69 chrome trim.
TWO QUESTIONS-
1) - I heard tell that the dart 2 dr front window trim is the same stuff. If so what year dart trim are we talking about here??
2) and does that mean the windshields are the same too??
thanks in advance- Neal

Ever get it fixed? I'm in the same boat.

Any two door hardtop (not demon/duster) 67+ A-body has the same windshield and trim. I always pull this trim when I see it at the bone yeard figuring some one may need it. I believe I still have a set, not sure on the shape (may have a dent or two) if you are interested let me know.

Thanks a bunch but I really don't want to have to remove the glass if I can help it. My autoglass friend is fixing to stop by so I am going to see what he says. I will definetly let you know if he says that I should go ahead and remove the glass route.

FWIW, I have a 68 Coupe and the rear window had the 67 style gasket with the chromed plastic lock strip. I didn't want to pull the window to install the clips for the stainless trim either.

I wound up buying a roll of chromed plastic lock strip for a GM pick-up from JC Whitney for around $15, almost enough for two windows. It does not look like the factory lock strip but it works (no leaks past the gasket) and looks like it belongs there.

Chrome Locking Strips For Window Weathrstrip Item# ZX133701N $19.99.

It's not the same as the 67 strip but it works and does not look out of place.

Thanks a bunch.

I will talk to my friend about it. He has something in mind about fixing it for me. He has worked at a auto glass shop for years. Do you why they did the plastic stuff in 67 and change in the years there after? Maybe because of the same problem I am having.
