So heading towards a divorce and need to assess marital assets and I need to put a price on my 67 Dodge Dart Convertible. It's a slant 6 w/904. 7 1/4" rear end, drum brakes all round, 9" on the front. It's basically stock so it has the least desirable options. It had a new convertible roof 3 -4 years ago, but the car is kept outside and the Florida sun takes it's toll. There are a couple of nicks and 1 or 2 small 1" tears in the roof from opening and closing. The operation of the roof is manual as there is no pump installed.
It is rusty, every panel has pretty major rust. Some need repair while others need replacement. The driver's front frame rail is also rusty and had about 6-8 inches of the bottom of the rail missing just about where the pedals are. I'm in the process of putting in new floor pans, after that it's rear quarters, trunk floor, etc etc.
Financially I know it doesn't make sense for me to repair this as I know it's not and never will be a high value car. I'm not doing it for financial gain, just for fun as a hobby.
So the big question is what's it worth. I've no intention of selling but I need to put a price down and be able to justify it. I'm not going to say what I think it's worth at this moment as I don't want to influence you all.
Thanks in advance and let the masses speak.
