Oct 31, 2013 #2 I believe the number on a 67 is stamped on the top of the bellhousing area on the engine block. 68's are that way anyway. On the transm. there should be a flat machined pad towards the bottom of one of the sides on the main case.

Casting dates and build dates are all you can go on. Just sent the car to me....I'll take that problem off your hands!....(j/k)
