Mopar Dudes - I got the idea to restore this 67 Dart I picked up here in So Cal. The kid I bought it off of totally bastardized everything; wheels, electrical system, interior, sheet metal work, etc...Everything I touch needs reworked, and of course, there's the availability of parts for the 67, which can be discouraging. Anyway, I've dealt with some good people here on the forum, so I was wondering if the 67 Dart owners could share some restoration "lessons learned". What were the pros and cons of your restoration, and did you discover any nuggets of information you'd be willing to share. In advance really appreciate your input...

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year,

Tim

That seems like a nice project. But I think for 1967 there is plenty of parts to get from different vendors or on Ebay. Keep the pictures coming and good luck.

The single most important lesson I've learned has to do wuth the body work or rust repairs. When replacing a rodker panel and or quarter panel, that lower corner where they meet is critical. If the door isn't hanging there for test fitting the rocker may lead inward, upward, etc.. If it's not right you will never get the body lines on the door to line up right.

I'm doing a 69 Dart right now and well its amazing the lengths people will go to hide stuff instead of just fixing them the right way..........
