well guys i guess its come down to this i need the complete wiring harness for a 67 dodge dart 270 from head lights to tail light and everything in between ....if not does anyone have an idea of what i should do the wiring was all hacked off when i got it and there was some burnt wires under the dash

You basically have four choices.
1. New reproduction wiring harness.
2. Aftermarket wiring harness.
3. Custom make your own harness.
4. Rebuild what you already have (similar to #3).

I have a complete wiring harness for a 68 dart gt,you will need to delete for the side marker lights, and it is for a six cylinder so you will have to shorten up some of the wiring if you have a V-8,I will have to pull it from the car 150$ plus shipping,it will fit in a large flat rate box,I think it's 12.95 for 48 states

If it helps, I had a '67 barracuda last spring that someone was turning into a drag car. I ended up giving it to another guy who wanted to drag it, so I've still got the front (firewall forward) section of wiring. I didn't take it out, so I don't know what type of shape it was in, but you could use it to patch together yours. $10 plus shipping. PM me if you want it. I don't get E-amil notification anymore here.

I have Barracuda harnesses here too. They have different instrument panel connections, etc.. I could suggest you wait for the correct original harness to come along but then you will have a new problem. ..
The wire casing shrinks with age and gets brittle where exposed to heat.
AFter someone pulls a harness and crams it in a box , then you get it properly installed /routed it will have dangerous faults.
Reproduction harness is the best plan.

he's right about cramming them in a box,I roll the individual harness sections and put them in bags, then put them in a box big enough for the roll of the harness, the large flat rate shipping box is about 12$I dont have a 67 around to look at to tell the diffrence, only thing I know of is 68 has side marker lights,my harness is for a/c car with buckets and console.that will make a diffrence if you have a/c or not

There are several differences. First the location of the wires in the bulkhead changed between the years. I don't remember how many, but it's a lot of them. Also the location of the horn relay changed from near the horns to under the dash for 1968. The routing of the horn wires also changed under the hood (67 goes from the alternator area while 68 runs with the headlight wires across the upper radiator support). Those are the obvious changes....
