67 with 440/727 drive shaft??

My son is building his 67 dart with a 440 and shumacher kit fender well headers a 727 and a B-body 8 3/4. What drive shaft can he use? Or does he have to have one built?

I think you'll be looking for about 49 inches between joint centers.
You'll save a lot of time by just buying a longer shaft from a truck or van and have it shortened. Worked for me

With any custom build you'll want to measure for the shaft. Put the yoke all the way into the transmission and with the weight of the vehicle supported by the rear axle (i.e. stands under teh axle not the sub-frame). Measure center of joint to center of joint. Subtract 3/4" and you'll have the length you need.

If you could find one from a dart that had a 8 3/4 it would work.

Thanks guys, I will get a truck shaft and do the correct measurement and get it cut down for him. It would be great to find a shaft from an a body with a big rear..but thats kind of hard to do here.
