Finally engine and front end installed today with the support of my two sons and my wife. A few small issues to fix but overall fits like a glove!

That is a FANTASTIC looking drivetrain! It looks truly awesome in that ivory engine bay.

You made me rethink my choice of engine color.
 
Yes, I like the color combination. A lot of testing before we go with the anthracite engine color
 

Finally I could start to install my exhaust system. There were a few modifications necessary. I've discovered some idler arm issues with the Tri-y-headers as I've dropped the engine 2 inches to avoid clearance problems with the six pack and the hood. One side almost completed the other one ready to go after christmas.

I figured that was what you were planning with the doors from the previous pictures you posted. Did you roll the edge of the handle opening inward on the A body door or weld in an E body section? If you rolled it please tell me how. I have had the same idea in my head for my 70 Charger project for about ten years. I however have not executed it as of yet. Thanks for your help with this.
 
Fortunately one of my buds had a set of rusted doors of his 71 Cuda. So I've cut out the door handle section and welded it in. Easy task.
 
Finally I could start to install my seats and bench. The front seats are a mix of Recaros of the 80's with custom fit original headrests. All coated with Nappa leather.

I love the build, and am curious about a few things. I see the fuel pump being above the tank and the line routed from it passing above the muffler. The only pumps I ever found that are rated to lift fuel above the tank are the ones from Product Engineering. Are you going to insulate the fuel line or am I seeing things?

Is that a factory rear seat? It doesn't look like there is leg room for the back seat. Mine won't quite go back that far.

Are you going to make a console for it. I'm interested in seeing your design.

They require a rollbar at Willow Springs Raceway on convertibles. I try to go on the Thursdays before Spring Fling, because there's a great group of Mopar guys there and it's a lot of fun.

I bought a kit from Summit and welded it in. It had extra tubes to make a 6-point bar, but I didn't want to be climbing over the bars to get in and out of the car. I also didn't want to cut up the car to put it in, so I fitted it between the rear seat back and bottom. It's tied into my sub-frame connectors and has the metal plates welded to the floor. The back seat is still useable by adult sized folks.

To answer your questions: We installed edelbrock fuel pumps many times with the pump above the tank. Sometimes we've had to pressurize the tank a little bit for initial running. All lines in my project are far away from the exhaust. Behind the pump and filter I've installed a heat shield just in case. The rear bench is made of an original bench incorparating the design of the fronts. In the pictures all the seats are not installed yet.
Concerning middle console I'm going to use a 68-B-Body 4-speed one fitted to the Cuda. I like the design and width of it. Will post some pictures when I'm ready.
By the way nice looking car. Is it sunfire yellow?
