Silly question, but why didn't you just get powder to match instead of painting body color on top of the powder??? Lol .... it's not just made in gloss black anymore.
 
After a few weeks waiting on the spindles I could start to modify the dust shields and coating the parts. Now I'm ready to install and finish the front end. Thanks to Dennis from FFI to get all the parts within the time frame.

Found some issues with the old leaf springs as the car was on the wheels for a week. She was a little bit too low and springs near the shackles bended to the opposite side. So I've added an additional leaf made by our local blacksmith. So stance is app. 1 1/2 in. higher and the suspension a little bit stiffer.

Yes, 18x8 in front and 18x12 rear.

I would like to go 18x10 front and 19x12 rear for street tires... but maybe 18x12 can work. They make 18s and 20s? Wonder why they skipped 19?

What size tire do you have on the 18x12?

Here is the cap I was thinking of running. I have 4 that should clean up quite nicely. With your wheel style and this cap I could run my open lug w/ 3" studs under the cap and it would give it a very low key stock appearing look at first glance.

Finally I've received my Redondo from Ampire in Germany. So this was my showstopper for the dash build. To install the Redondo you need some custom changes as the installation kit is really crap and will not fit to the original mounting points.

I'm running 335/30/18 on the rears. The center cap size should be app. 8 inches to fit the wheel

OD of my cap is just barely over 9", guess it will work. Did you join your mopar cap together with the ring of the cap they sell with the wheel? How so? Epoxy? Welded?
 
First time through your thread. Your work is exceptional through and through. The small changes in details, the custom work that really keeps the original look of the car, but brings into the 21st century. Freaking love it! Keep it up!

Michael, yes you need to use the cap of the AR wheel. Maybe you find someone who can use the not needed Ralley style chrome pieces. On the attached foto you can see the detail how to connect the original center cap base to the mopar dog dish. You need to open the original cap, weld in (in my case) 4 connection pieces and then use some kind of a polyurethan based cement to attach them to the cap. Any more questions please let me know.
