I just went through all this with my 68 340 car and my 69 383 car. I may be wrong for a 318 but im going to tell you on a 340 car with a cast iron water pump you need a TRW. You can find repop brackets much easier and cheap. Again, I maybe wrong but I think 67-69 barracuda small block cars where TRW. And 67-69 barracuda cars with big blocks where federal. Im sure if im wrong someone will chime in but I set my 68 340 up with a TRW and my 69 383 with a federal and it worked perfectly. I have a used TRW with brackets and need a rebuild. If your interested.

I just sold the same one off of a 340 GTS to a member. I found one more Like new and two used and grimy . They are not cheap and very hard to find.
