I still like the car even with a 383. A nice 383 goes very well and will get much better fuel millage than a 440. I find it very hard to believe a 440 will make the car worth $15k more. Even a non #s 440 will still be the incorrect engine for the car, if we want to be technical. I like the car just as is, and I bet it is an awesome cruiser.

Very nice car. Putting a 440 in it would not be a big deal. Plenty of them around. Very very few have the original 440 in them anyway. GTX's are one of my all time favorite cars. Very nice body lines on a 68. GLWS.
