OK, I've got another issue to work through as I get closer to finishing up my 68 Dart. I'm using the 68 style K-member, front mount sway bar and LCAs. With the front end lowered to the ride height I want, the sway bar is pointing way up in the air. Orienting the bar level would put it below the LCA tabs. I'm not really interested in changing LCAs or cutting off the tabs since the LCAs have been powder coated unless I have no other choice. How big of an issue is it if the sway bar is pointing uphill? How short is too short for the end link spacers? Thanks

I would just get an upper rubber shock biscuit and a bolt that takes a castle nut and cotter pin to see if it will bind. If that doesn't work then ditch the sway bar or go aftermarket...

I found a couple pictures online that show the bar running uphill even at stock ride height. Maybe that is just how the earlier setup is?

my 70 bar runs up hill a bit. does it really matter?
I read some posts that said a sway bar should be level to be most effective. So that's what I was trying to do but it doesn't look like this setup allows that.

level is "ideal", but a little uphill is okay. just double, triple whammy check for bind thru the cycle.

there can be a fair amount of trial and error as well as fussing and fitting with these things to get everything just so.

Original owner of my car installed an aftermarket shock bolt mounting type sway bar. The k frame was modified by him to put the front of bar up higher. He welded the K brackets on that should be horizontal, but now vertical. Looked terrible and had some contact with the strut bar when the LCA was extended down. It did tuck the sway bar up high though. I removed it and haven't addressed how I am re-installing it yet.
