69' Cuda A56 Coupe 340

-
Ive been going to Carlisle and Englishtown for a really long time. I always keep a lookout for Notch's and don't recall ever seeing an a56 other than this M-Code. Its at Carlisle every year. I don't know who owns it or if they are a member here (hopefully they don't mind seeing a picture of their car).

Also, here is a 340 car I remember seeing on line. You can do a little detective work to find out about this:

Hi guys, that's my M-code, F5 notch! Always happy to see pics/someone enjoying it!.............. I'm the new caretaker of Weinstats '69 M-code 'cuda ONLY registry! Always looking for new, real M-code 'cudas to add to the registry. We have around 104 of the approximately 360 built cars in the reg now! I'm also the guy that put together/ran the 40th reunion M-code A-bodys at Carlisle in '09. Looking to do the 45th anniversary in 2014. Any new cars or questions just ask. Dave

I know that this thread is old at this point...but I had to share. I just sold my A56 Cuda to a dude that claimed that it was going to be shipped to Sweden. 70 year old motocross racer who has a 70 Charger with a sunroof that I am dying to see... but that is a whole different story altogether.

All I can say is that I had that car for a couple of years (Ebay purchase sight unseen, but perfweld saw the car before I bought it). Mechanically, the car was awesome! It ran like a champ. The only thing was that the chome box for the ignition upgrade took a dump and the car was down for a bit while that was sorted out. It had some crazy backyard bodywork, but WTH, it was a driver!

I will say that the 340 4 speed combo is a ton of fun, but you wish that you had an extra gear on the freeways since a stout Prius would take me down on top speed...but from stoplight to stoplight...:burnout: VERY FUN!
I was sad to see it go, hated to send a rare fish overseas (if that is in fact where it went), but I was able to drive the crap out of it, never had an issue and then got a very good price for it on the back end and ended up with the car I wanted. I also actually got Galen to run the numbers on it before it was sold (and we know how tough that can be sometimes). It should always work out so good!

I have pic of the vert (which I recently bought) and a couple of the 'Cuda (that I miss). Still hunting for a 340, 4 speed convertible though...half the fun is finding the rare fishys!
