You are referring to the 67 Dart, it has a GT Emblem in the front. 68 and 69 had the GT and GTS Black out paint pattern (as shown). The 67 had no BLACK OUT paint pattern.

But believe it or not, you can paint a 67 Dart Grille to a GTS Blacked out Paint pattern and it looks SUPER COOL.
:glasses7:

68 GT/GTS had this piece in the center. This one has been incorrectly painted.

No. 68 GT never had center piece.

And only some 68 GTS's got center piece. No one has seemed to pinpoint what cars, build dates, build plants, 340 vs 383's, or other reasons got them. ???

Yep, I realized that right after I posted about the GT models. I was too busy with my Polara to correct my mistake.

69 GTS could also be special ordered with no tail stripe, but than you got GTS emblems on front fender

Not a big fan of the 68 Dart CenterPiece. Makes the Car look like it is from Canada or Mexico. I run into Dart Grilles with the factory holes drilled for this piece. Wondered why the heck somebody would drill 2 holes into the center of a perfect Grille, then it dawned on me that it was OEM. Duhhhhhh.

Here's a pic of my Dart GTS in it's Current Configuration.
Off to Atlanta to race NMCA NSS April 9th.

  • Factory Black 383 4 spd, now 440 - 727
  • Fenderwells Uncut
  • 2nd Owner since 1989
  • Purchased originally in Jacksonville, FL
  • Best ET to date: 10.92

Just put the red longitudinal Stripe on...whatta bear of a Job. Will have to buy another Stripe to realign a few places. Was a major ***** removing the White Scat Pack Stripe. Marred the paint in the process. It had been on there over 15 years.

MSD Starter broke at first event. Fixing today. Have to drop the 727 back 6 inches to replace the Starter, thanks to those CPPA UnderChassis Headers.

NEVER GIVE UP!!!!!
