Now when it comes to mini-tubbing, that is when you slit the stock tub and move it all the way into the frame rail, filling the gap in the middle with metal.

Why would someone do that anyways?

Mini-tubbing allows the inner wheelwell to be relocated tight against the framerail, allowing wider rear tires. If done correctly, it is virtually undetectable by those looking in the trunk.
