so been gathering parts for my dart
i bought a set (but not from the same car) rust free doors
think one is a 70 the other 72
mine aren't that bad ,small bubbles in the front lower corner
they are both hard top doors whats the difference in the doors .
i haven't looked that close other than body lines look the same
worse case i got them cheep enough i could use the skins or patch panels

Vents missing on the replacement doors
Thought I read something about door lock placement

Ok great so my "newer" doors should work
They will function regardless but won’t be factory correct if your car is a 68. I actually had to go out and look at my 68 Barracuda and my 69 Dart to recall which was which .

67 doors are a 1 year only design at the vent (wing) window frame attachment to the door. The lock button is at the rear.

68 has the 68 up vent window frame attachment. And lock button in the 67 position.

69 has the 68 up vent window frame attachment. And lock button in the forward 69 up position.

Iirc the door lock mechanism is also different 68 or 69 and up allowing for the lock button to be pushed down and the door to be shut and stay locked.

As for glass it was recently shown in another post that the door glass is different Convert Vs Hard top. One is flatter across the top than the other.

I recall vent window frame top to be different but that might be 4 door vs Hard top/convert.

It's a bunch of work but... You can look in the factory parts books for 68, 70/71 and 72 and see if part numbers changed between the years for window glass, vent window frame, etc.

Worst case you could MOST LIKELY swap the guts from the 68 doors to the 70, 72 doors

Convert specific on all the 67-69 convert doors is the anti rattle slider near the lock. mechanism.

The door shells are the same, save for the lock button location mentioned already. The shells should have undrilled locations for the little latch things that screw to the door, to catch the sliding wedge thing in the door jamb. Those things are only on convertibles. It may be easier to just patch the rusty places in the existing conv. doors vs moving all the other stuff.

The door shells have a different part number between '69 and '70, so, something must be different unless it's just a superseded number. As a whole door they will interchange except for the door glass. The vent glass and frame are the same HT vs Vert. Some individual parts in the door changed from '69-72. Some interchange even though they're slightly different. I'm trying remember when they started installing the side impact braces....

Thanks guys
Either way I will completely disassemble my doors and clean and lube everything
So glass and door locks are coming out
I know my drivers door has some rust bubbles and sags so when it goes to the body shop will rebuild them
