Hi looking for a set of backing plates for a 7 1/4

No they aren't. Tried my 7.25 backing plates on an 8.75 housing...no go, and not just the one less bolt hole.

Gotta be a SBP problem.

All of the BBP backing plates are interchangeable by axle. 7.25, 8.25, 8.75, even the Dana 60 can interchange BBP backing plates. Alaskan_TA mentioned the 8.25”, which means he must be thinking BBP because they didn’t make SBP 8.25’s.

So, to the OP, what bolt pattern 7.25 rear axle do you have?

I have a nice pair painted amd ready to go for $50 shipped. I have parking brake cables and wheel cylinders too. Wheel cylinders are brand new. Backing plates are for small bolt and 9" brakes.

73-up are 5 bolt, with the same pocket as all 8.25 and 8.75 housings.
I have the early style 10s for $25 each, if you need them.
