Does anyone know if I can take the carrier ( sure grip) out of a 7-1/4 roadrunner axle 1973. And put into a 1969 dart 7-1/4 with a open. And use my axles which are small bolt pattern.

This is not a parts wanted ad. Moved to correct thread.

'73 Roadrunner, or any B-body for that matter, would not have a 7 1/4 rear.

I know they put the 7 1/4 in E body’s. It wouldn’t surprise me that some were installed in B body’s as well

I've never seen one in an E or B body, but I know never to say never, so it is possible. But... Going back to the OP, there was no 7 1/4 rear in a '73 Roadrunner, so you won't be able to swap the SG carrier to that Dart 7 1/4 rear.

Here's a screen print from the 73 parts manual.

A guy I knew in school had a 74 barracuda equipped with the leaning tower/904/7 1/4. He said all original, but maybe he was full of it. Only one I’ve ever seen
