70 charger crash

-
I can't believe that someone got ahold of such a stylishly designed, well optioned, quality built machine, drove it like a complete idiot and wrecked it.

I've never seen anyone misunderstand what the Dodge Charger was about So poorly, and mistreat one so badly.

...

Open the file cabinet and find the mile long folder, labeled "Watches too much TV and has no respect for Chargers"?

yea....that's a great idea to pick up a bunch of speed with no traction under you and then lock up the brakes when you get into a slide........it would be no different than being on ice ......even as the rear end was swinging around he could have saved it by letting go of the brake and try steering it, to gain control....notice how the front wheel stopped turning as it was going into the wall....you cant gain control over a car going into a slide with the wheels stopped.

dang shame on such a nice car.

Exactly. Once you start to slide, the worst thing that you can do is stand on the brakes...

It's an instinct/reflex, but I taught my sons to go to an empty parking lot in the first snows of the winter and put the car into a slide and then let off the brake. Then they see how they get traction when they get off the brake and then can steer the car to safety, and overcome the instinct/reflex to stand on the brakes when the car slides....

What an idiot.
That guy needs to learn how to drive.
Why the hell do you need to power brake a 440 R/T with a wet road anyway?
That car doesn't look like it has a lot of power for some reason anyway......
He got what he deserved.
