Thank you very much. The best way I can take care of myself is working on that engine and car and keeping up with the wife's lists lol.

Thanks. I don't believe there is an ending to her lists, she is jealous of my car. I want her to get out there and put her hands on the car... maybe I can unlock something she'll love in the future.

Quick update, I was able to get a couple things done this weekend.
Cleaned the oil pan and inspected/cleaned the oil pump. Looks good!
Put the torque plates on the block, I needed to touch up the cylinders after filling them with hard blok, turned out great and only needed .0014 to get round again & that is just about where I want for piston to wall clearance total .002 with the coated pistons.
Also put the crank in the lathe and polished it.
Going to see about getting it line honed this week.

Yesterday I took my block to the other machine shop in town, met the machinist he's a nice old guy. He had me take my stuff back to the shop I work & cut my main caps because he didn't want to mess with the roll pins I put in. I had never done that before, so I was a little bit spazzed out lol.

I don't know what your spiritual beliefs are, but I think you know I'm a strong Christian. Notice I didn't say perfect. lol Daddy died in 1998. I regularly hear his voice in my head all the time saying the things he always said in life. One of my favorites was "Rob, you're as good as the best and better than the rest". Took me a while to figure it out, but he was right. I also hear things like "Don't do that, stupid". lol He'll always be with you one way or another. Here's a weird one. Daddy was a smoker. Born in 1924 and a WWII Navy vet. He smoked Viceroys. On occasion, Kitty and I both will catch the smell around the house. We always say Daddy is paying a visit.
